"Why am I frightened so easily. Pidgeon, why can you scare me?" |
This is probably the most accessible of Venetian Snare's works, as it is a little toned down from his other stuff. However, the break beats are still very jarring and frenetic, which might be off putting for some. One of the tracks, "Második Galamb", is nearly nonstop pounding bass and percussion; it wouldn't seem out of place being blasted at a party. “Hajnal” is the standout track for me, I feel it captures the overall feel of the album. It starts off slow, with a great melodic buildup of piano and strings and then the aggressive and high bpm breakcore elements get layered on around halfway through the track. I love classical style strings being mixed with other genres, so this album was pretty great, if not exhausting for my ears. [7.5/10]
